Fish And Sour Cream Bake

Features:
    Cuisine:

Delicious and oh so simple! I cooked the fish in a skillet with a few spritzes of oil, then added the sour cream mix, onion, and then the "glue" aka cheddar cheese. In 10 minutes flat I had a delicious & nutritious hot, home-cooked dinner.

Fish and Sour Cream Bake,Although the original recipe calls for Halibut, I’ve found that any firm, white fish will work. If your fish is frozen, soak it in milk to help remove the frozen “fishy” taste. This is an easy recipe that comes together fast. Except for the fish, most people will have all the other ingredients on hand. I love this after a hard work day….quick, easy, and delicious! Original recipe is from the “Reflections of the West” cookbook, but I’ve made a few changes.,Delicious and oh so simple! I cooked the fish in a skillet with a few spritzes of oil, then added the sour cream mix, onion, and then the “glue” aka cheddar cheese. In 10 minutes flat I had a delicious & nutritious hot, home-cooked dinner.,Really enjoyed this. We are also low-carb! I substituted chili-powder for ground red-pepper because I have a 4-year old that doesn’t like “spicy”. I also traded the cheddar cheese for parmesan cheese that I feel gave it a “rich” flavor. My family loved it! I baked green beans for 20 minutes and then put it on-top and baked for the additional time.
