4 pork chops 1/2-inch thick

2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup hot water

    The meat was tender and juicy, but the apples had such a weird taste to them we ended up just throwing them out. Not really sure what that was about. Only change I made was to use about 1/4 cup apple juice with 1/2 cup water. Thanks for posting. The meat was good.

    Apple Pork Chops, A delicious new twist for pork chop and apple lovers., The meat was tender and juicy, but the apples had such a weird taste to them we ended up just throwing them out. Not really sure what that was about. Only change I made was to use about 1/4 cup apple juice with 1/2 cup water. Thanks for posting. The meat was good., I cut the recipe in half and omitted the salt. This is an easy to follow recipe and the results are very moist and flavorful. Recipe #141632 and orzo complemented this dish.

    Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees F 190 Degrees C.

    Heat Oil in Large Skillet.

    Saute Onion in Oil For 1 Minute, or Until Tender.

    Remove Onion and Set Aside.

    Brown Pork Chops in Remaining Oil, Two Minutes on Each Side.

    Place Chops in 8x12 Inch Baking Dish; Sprinkle With Salt and Pepper.

    Layer Apples and Cooked Onion Over Chops.

    in Small Bowl, Combine Brown Sugar, Mustard, Cloves and Water.
