Pickled Green Beans (Dilly Beans), This recipe was originally my Great Grandmother’s I just recently found it in my Mother’s stuff after she passed away a few months ago , Your recipe calls for salt, but doesn’t specify pickling or canning salt I made the recipe and used our table salt which is iodized and my beans came out wrinkled What happened?, This is my go-to recipe when doing a water bath canning for my garden green beans Perfect tartness, spice and you can double up on the garlic if you wish So easy to drop the spices in the bottom of the sterilzed jars, then pour the vinegar mixture over it (do not put boiling hot vinegar in dool jars or they will break) Thanks for posting so I can save to my recipe book

Clean and Cut Beans to Fit in Tall Mason Jars. (one Pint). |

Place Ingredients 2-5 Into Each Jar. |

Add Beans to Jar(s) Until Full. |

Bring to Boil Ingredients 6-8. |

Pour Boiling Liquid Over Beans. |

Process in Boiling Water For 5 Minutes. *correction: Processing Time Should Be 10-15 Min, not 5.*. |
