Blue Moon Ice Cream: A Real Estate Agent’s Secret Recipe

Features:
    Cuisine:

I am not a big fan of blue moon ice cream, but 4 yr old DS loves it so I gave this a try. It tastes just like the store bought version, but I like that it does not make a ton! Was very creamy and had a light flavor to it. The blue food coloring that I bought didn't have a dropper top (had a pour top) so I just poured in a splash or two...should have stopped at one, it was too much. No biggie though, just turned our mouths a little more blue than it was supposed to. Will be making this often in the summer and for family get togethers since there are five boys in the family that all love this!! Made for PAC Spring 2010.

The Realtor’s Blue Moon Ice Cream,There are many different theories about how this famous ice cream should be made. Nobody knows for sure because the recipe has always been secret. This is my version. I don’t know if it’s an exact duplicate but we love it this way. When you’re finished, it should be sort of the color of smurfs so add food coloring until you acheive smurf blue. use 40 drops. Splenda lovers- this will not turn out the same with splenda. I love it and sometimes use it anyway but it does NOT give the same creamy consistency as regular sugar does. I don’t know why but it just doesn’t.,I am not a big fan of blue moon ice cream, but 4 yr old DS loves it so I gave this a try.
