Crock Pot Chuck Roast With Vegetables

    Made as directed and all was delicious. Not sure where the peas in the photo came from since the recipe does not call for peas (?). But since I'm not fond of peas I didn't miss them. I'll make this again but not cook it as long. The meat was kinda dry due to the length of time in the pot.

    Crock Pot Chuck Roast With Vegetables,There’s lots of flavor in this roast. A favorite slow cooker recipe.,Made as directed and all was delicious. Not sure where the peas in the photo came from since the recipe does not call for peas (?). But since I’m not fond of peas I didn’t miss them. I’ll make this again but not cook it as long. The meat was kinda dry due to the length of time in the pot.,I made this yesterday. OMG! My roast was just over 2 lbs. No celery, so I rubbed the roast in celery salt and browned in some ghee. I did’t have enough carrots on hand, so used what I had and about tripled the potatoes called for. No golden mushroom, used cream of mushroom, no onion, used two tablespoons dried onion, no horseradish….googled substitute, used wasabi. Forgot to turn it off, cooked an extra hour. My house never smelled this good before and it was delish. There was a lot of ‘juice’ from the beef. I am going to freeze it and mash it into potatoes later…. yum
