Grilled Flat Iron Steak, I found this great recipe at Detroit Free Press, submitted by Susan Selasky. The ingredients are ones that are typically available is most kitchens and the flavor really bursts from this economical cut of meat., Used this recipe to inaugurate our new gas grill! Thanks so much–it was delicious. Our flat iron steak was a big larger 2 lbs. so we had to cook it a little longer to get to medium-rare but the marinade amount was still plenty. It was so nice to hear DH oohing and ahhing through dinner!, Instead of salt and black pepper, added a generous teaspoon of Montreal Steak Seasoning. Turned out well. Also, doubled garlic to four cloves.
