Salted Caramel Strawberries,Found this one in a back issue of Southern Living then looked it up on Southern Living’s website. It got the best of ratings and reviews. Hope it lives up to its standards. I would imagine this perfect for afternoon tea, brunch or shower.,Step aside, caramel apples…there’s a new kid in town! We don’t own a microwave and I placed a metal bowl over a pot of simmering water, carefully melting the mixture over low-medium heat. Easy, inexpensive and delicious! Used Oregon-grown hazelnuts and strawberries from California (they’re not growing here locally yet). I was out of heavy cream and subbed whole milk with no problem. A good way to use up caramel candies left over from Christmas baking/cooking. Next time I’ll make my own caramel sauce. Thanks for posting. ~Tasty Dish~ approved!
