Grandmas Cheese Straws

Features:
    Cuisine:

These are a lot like my grandmother's cheese straws, too. As others have done, used a a few dashed of Crystal Hot Sauce and lots of red cayenne pepper. I omit the water so the straws are crispy. use a cookie press with flat ribbon disc so no need to refrigerate dough. Thank you for sharing!

Grandma’s Cheese Straws, There are many recipes out there for cheese straws, but I had to post Grandma’s recipe These were a staple at her house and we couldn’t wait to devour them when we went for a visit , These are a lot like my grandmother’s cheese straws, too As others have done, used a a few dashed of Crystal Hot Sauce and lots of red cayenne pepper I omit the water so the straws are crispy use a cookie press with flat ribbon disc so no need to refrigerate dough Thank you for sharing!, This was my first attempt at cheese straws and they were wonderful I followed the advise of other viewers and used Tobasco Sauce in place of the water and cayenne pepper instead of paprika It definitely took more water to make the dough come together Can’t help but think the recipe should read 3 Tbsp water rather than 3 tsp
