From Extending the Table.,Made it 4 times now, only once strictly according to the recipe all were good but following the recipe was great. p.s. l used Knorrs liquid seasoning, rice wine vinegar and no extra liquid is needed.,Just a little over 1 cup of liquid doesnt sound like much for simmering 3 pounds of chicken is this recipe missing a step such as add enough water/broth to cover chicken?

    Bring to a Boil the First 6 Ingredients. Simmer For About 50 Minutes Until the Chicken Is Tender and Sauce Is Reduced by Half. I Simmered With the Lid on For About 35 Minutes and Took the Lid Off the Last 15 to Let the Sauce Reduce.

    Add Salt to Taste. Serve Hot With Rice.
