Yellow Split Pea Soup,A hearty soup to take the chill off on a cold winter day.,I’ve made homemade soup with veg but put split peas in after soaking them fr 12 hours 4 hours later there still bit hard please help,This is the easiest and best pea soup recipe I’ve found, I love it! I add ham or kielbasa and make it totally “no sodium added” except for those additions. I also add frozen mixed veg sometimes, too. Reminds me of a tin of store bought – flavour and consistency is perfect! (I also simmer this for a couple-few hours until it becomes thick, then take a potato masher to it before adding veggies and meat (if I do, it’s great without them, too)).
