My daughter tried this recipe & they were really hard not eatable. We had to throw them away. I will try to make this same recipe myself to see if I will get different results. But as for now I will only give it 2 star because several ingredients were wasted on this recipe.

Strawberries and Cream Scones, I’ve recently started getting into making scones This is a delicious recipe for them! If you like, add Recipe#953365 as suggested by reviewer Marsha D , My daughter tried this recipe & they were really hard not eatable We had to throw them away I will try to make this same recipe myself to see if I will get different results But as for now I will only give it 2 star because several ingredients were wasted on this recipe , Ok now this is fantastic superb wonderful I rarely do long reviews, but this deserves it First of all used really ripe gorgeous berries, which adds to the sweetness sometimes i think we forget what they taste like ruby red all the way through Secondly I subbed Splenda for the sugar and it worked with no issues As to sweetness, yes a glaze might help for those who want it, when warm sprinkle it with rock sugar not sure what its called but the big grains of white sugar However scones are not meant to be really sweet on their own Traditionally they are served with clotted or whipped cream and jam if plain (these don’t need jam lol) So I whipped up a little sweetened whipped cream and had a marvelous afternoon treat
