Bacon-Wrapped Brown Sugar Smokies, i take this to our christmas party at work every year, it’s expected, and it disappears very fast no worries about the bacon, it cooks quickly and creates a wonderful sauce w/the brown sugar and you can prepare it the night before and just plug the crockpot in a few hours before you need to serve it , I have found that the brown sugar falls off easily, so I put the piece of bacon down, put brown sugar on that and then wrap the wiener with the brown sugar inside It seems to stick more Even if I burn these some, there is always none left over , Made this for the first time last night Were really sweet, almost candied Couldn’t taste the bacon and were not crisp Idk if used too much brown sugar? I would make again with maybe less sugar and possibly spice it up with jalapenos
