Juneann’s Chewy Bisquick Brownies,I came across this on the net while browsing. A quick and easy one bowl dessert, especially great for moms who work, or for those young, up and coming chefs in your family.,I added espresso powder, chocolate chips, and pecans. They turned out perfectly.,so i bought bisquick to make some cinnamon rolls and had a bit left over and i wanted to make a cake or brownies. this recipe was awesome, super easy and quick. i did make some changes as i did not have cocoa powder nor vanilla extract. used 3/4 cup of brown sugar instead of the white sugar and just 1/2 cup of real butter and used cherry juice instead of water and again did not have cocoa powder so use a 1/3 of a cup coffee chocolate blend that is too sweet for coffee but really great for baking and a 1/4 cup of chopped up butterscotch morsels and no pecans but i did have walnuts which i like better and lastly since i don’t care for cake like brownies used one whole egg and one egg white to keep them chewy. this is still the base of this brownie recipe which just a few changes for me and my family and I did have to cook it longer than the twenty five minutes because “of course” did not have the size pan in the directions but a smidge smaller one. made these an hour ago and already half gone. won’t even need to put them in the fridge. very crispy outside and wonderful chewy inside. also did not get as dark since a used the coffee mix. btw, the middle in mine also caved but it made it just more chewy so a win win. I like using bisquick as opposed to some other mixes because of the three simple ingredients.
