Salisbury Steak,I got this from a old Mennonite Cookbook that was passed on to me by my late mother in law. I tweaked it just a bit to had more flavor. This is as close to a perfect salisbury steak as I have ever eaten. It has an onion flavor all through it with out having the texture of onions. My grandchildren just loved it.,I really like such easy recipes as this. use my home-made salt free dried onion soup mix to avoid the high sodium in the store-bought mixes. Other than that, I followed your recipeexactly. It was very good and a family favorite.,This was wonderful! used cube steak and increased the simmer time to 30 minutes. It turned out very tender and flavorful. used homemade onion soup mix I just added it to the egg since I couldn’t mix it in the beef. Thanks for posting–I have a new stove top method for Salisbury steak now!
