Cracker Barrel Baby Carrots,The little ones love these carrots as good as candy. This is an absolute must for a great side dish.,Cracker Barrell (for me) ruins so many of their vegetables by adding bacon or ham. A server told me that even the corn bread has “chicken stock”. More and more people are becoming vegetarians, and think of the ones that do not eat pork due to their religion, folks from the middle east, Seventh Day Adventist and many others. “Just found out that they put bacon grease on the baby carrots”. What is a vegetarian to do…just find another place to eat, I guess. “Wish they would just let veggies, be veggies”.,Question: for raw carrots it sure seems like 30-45 minutes is A LOT of cooking time, and then add on to that more time at the end cooking until tender. Melt Bacon Grease in Boiler. |

Add Carrots and Enough Water to Cover the Top of Carrots. |

Cover With a Lid and Place on Medium Heat and Bring to a Boil. |

Turn Heat to Low and Simmer For 30-45 Minutes or Until the Carrots Are Tender When Pricked With a Fork. |

When Carrots Become Tender Pour Half of the Water Off. |

Add Melted Butter,Sugar and Honey to Carrots. |

Place Lid on Pot and Cook Until Completely Tender. |
