Bratwurst Casserole, Quick and different casserole. Great way to use left over potatoes I like to bake extra and use them instead of boiling. You can add mushrooms and top with french fried onions too. Garlic brats add a special zing!, This was really good. Based on other reviews I cut the milk back to 1/2 Cup and I felt that it was perfect. I tried the sauce before cooking and it just seemed a little plain, so I lightly sprinkled some Cajun seasoning in and it worked out great. I topped off my serving with a little hot sauce and thought it was great!, Everyone in the family loved this casserole. Simple yet delicious. Here are the changes I made using 5 pork brats. First made a white sauce with 2 cups of milk and a tablespoon of classic alfredo sauce, as I didn’t have any mushroom soup in the house. I separately sauteed the onions, ripple cut thick french fries nuked them for 2.5 mins at full power in the micro first mushrooms, some corn off the cob, green and red peppers. Then added the brats which had been cut in 1 inch pieces and boiled for 5 mins. Add some pepper powder, the white sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.. Sprinkled shredded cheddar on top. Baked at 350 for 40 mins till it was golden and bubbly. If i don’t have brats in the house, I will used hamburgers nuked in the microwave
