Beer Bread,Per Google.com, the #1 recipe for Beer Bread in the world! There are a few recipes for beer bread out there, but none as simple (and tasty!) as this one. You can even mix it in the baking pan for easy cleanup. This is sensational when served with soups or just as a snack, but don’t expect it to be around very long when your family gets a taste of it! Be sure to use a sheet pan on the shelf below the pan to catch any excess butter that may drip during cooking.,Amazing bread! I can’t agree more with the “sift, sift sift” instructions. I also make this bread by adding 8 oz of warm water to 4 oz of beer..for a total of 12 oz of liquid. Its never NOT risen just fine. I tried it the first time as my mom didn’t like the “beer taste”. Honestly I couldn’t really see that it was overly “beery”, but I tweaked it to see if it would still rise and taste ok. It did..and it has every time I make it. I soften the butter, grease the bread pan with part of it, add the rest to the dough when I mix it. Delicious..if I do say so myself. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!,This is my go to recipe. IMO You dont really need to sift the grocery store pre-sifted flour, I do it anyways though I don’t really notice a difference, this a very basic bread recipe. It comes out delicious both ways butter on top or butter inside, you can even do both. I find I usually need around 14-16oz of beer to get the right consistency. Also if you do butter on top and just in general, put a cookie sheet under the loaf pan, this thing loves to splatter. First time I made it I just plopped it in and the smoke alarm went off with burning butter splatter smoking everywhere. PUT A COOKIE SHEET UNDER THE PAN! Comes out perfect.

Updated Notes: This Recipe Makes a Very Hearty Bread With a Crunchy, Buttery Crust. If You Prefer a Softer Crust (like a Traditional Bread) Mix the Butter Into the Batter Instead of Pouring It Over the Top. |

Sifting Flour For Bread Recipes Is a Must-Do. Most People Just Scoop the 1 Cup Measure in the Flour Canister and Level It Off. That Compacts the Flour and Will Turn Your Bread Into a "hard Biscuit" as Some Have Described. That's Because They Aren't Sifting Their Flour! If You Do not Have a Sifter, Use a Spoon to Spoon the Flour Into the 1 Cup Measure. Try It Once the "correct" Way and You Will See an Amazing Difference in the End Product. |

I Have Had Many Email from You Kind Folks About Using Non-Alcoholic Beverages Instead of Beer. That Is Fine to Do but I Highly Recommend Adding a Packet of Dry Active Yeast or 2 Teaspoons of Bread (machine) Yeast So That You Get a Proper Rise. |
