Fruit and Nut Refrigerator Cookies, This is a great looking cookie on a tray of mixed cookies Good at christmas or for bazaars or church fellowships Or just for cookie lovers everywhere Don’t know where the recipe came from I’ve had it for years , I just tried this for the first time tonight for an emergency holiday tray for my husbands work I LOVE IT! It worked great! I changed it a bit by adding 1/3 c hard peppermints that I grated to the consistancy of sea salt and then rolling the dough in them as well I was hoping for more of a crust with this than I got but perhaps if I had chilled the dough first, I might have gotten a different outcome?? ANYWAY! It was awesome! I was afraid of it being TOO pepperminty but it wasn’t at all! It was perfect! NOTE! THESE COOKIES SPREAD! I allowed about 2 in space and for the most part that was enough the thicker is it the bigger it will become 🙂 Thanks for the great go-to recipe for future holiday trays!, I made these with the walnuts and they are so good I almost don’t want to share them with anyone Thanks for posting the recipe
