Brookville Sweet & Sour Coleslaw, The first time I had Brookville cole slaw was in 1970 at the old Brookville Hotel My in-laws lived between Salina and Abilene and they were good friends with the restaurant manager I really believed it must have pineapple in it then, but it doesn’t It is such a simple recipe This is a MAYO FREE cole slaw and it is really easy to make It only uses shredded green cabbage, not the store mix with purple cabbage and carrots They used to advertise it as being Swedish, I only know it’s delicious! Easy to use artificial sweetener instead of sugar, and you have a great KETO salad , Couldn’t sleep tonight and got to thinking about BB’d ribs and then into mind the old Brookville slaw Was stationed in Shilling AFB in Salina back in 1954 and used to eat at the hotel a couple of times a month I googled the slaw recipe and was flabbergasted to find out how popular this was Great memories Thanks
