I haven't had ring bologna in ages, so this recipe got me craving it. I made half the recipe with the bologna and followed the directions. It was excellent, and thanks for the homemade bread suggestion. Truly a comfort meal and the leftovers were even better. This is a keeper Kitcharen! Made and enjoyed for PAC Spring '09.

German Casserole, An easy, tangy, spicy, very filling casserole that fills your house with the great scent of good ethnic home cooking , I haven’t had ring bologna in ages, so this recipe got me craving it I made half the recipe with the bologna and followed the directions It was excellent, and thanks for the homemade bread suggestion Truly a comfort meal and the leftovers were even better This is a keeper Kitcharen! Made and enjoyed for PAC Spring ’09 , I precooked my sliced unpeeled potatoes with skins in microwave on my potatoe setting even though I had then sliced in a dish with 1/4 cup of water Undercooked potatoes in my home don’t go over well I doubled the butter for the bottom because I know it is not healthier but because it adds great moister to potatoes and I didn’t want this dish to be dry I sliced my onions with my P C slicer getting the onions bare thin which I believe had a impact on the success of the dish use venison/beef bologna I also added a beefed up fresh ground pepper to dish I was very impressed at quickness, ease with kids helping and then the taste I put on a dollap of sour cream on my serving Great – 5 stars
