Buttermilk Cake

    This is now my husband's favourite cake. It needed nothing extra; it was incredible on its own. I did grease my bundt pan before pouring in the batter and still had trouble unmoulding, so next time I think I'll try greasing and flouring.

    Buttermilk Cake, This recipe for buttermilk cake calls for orange extract but that can be replaced be any extract you might like , This is now my husband’s favourite cake It needed nothing extra; it was incredible on its own I did grease my bundt pan before pouring in the batter and still had trouble unmoulding, so next time I think I’ll try greasing and flouring , Very good cake I made it with Dr Oetkers Butter Vanilla flavour (bought at a German Deli) Nice moist cake! A hit with my hubby and son!

    Preheat Oven to 350.

    in a Bowl Sift Together Flour, Baking Soda and Salt. Set Aside.

    in a Seperate Bowl Cream Together Shortening and Sugar. Add Eggs One at a Time. When Eggs Are Combined Add Buttermilk, Vanilla and Orange Extract.

    Slowly Combine Flour Mixture and Buttermilk Mixture Until Combined. Pour Into a Bundt Pan and Bake For 60 Minutes or Until Done All the Way Through.
