Intensely Chocolate Cocoa Brownies,A rich brownie that is mixed in a sauce pan on the stove. Easy, dense and SOOOOOO good!!,use brown sugar instead of regular sugar, added about a teaspoon and a half of instant espresso powder to the cocoa butter mixture. Also I browned the butter. I have a 9 x 9 pan, they will definitely be better in an 8 x 8. The baked in 16 minutes, very tasty.,Wish I’d found a recipe like this, 30 years ago. I’m never buying a brownie mix again. I did make a couple changes, adding both walnuts and chocolate chips, and a splash of hazelnut liquor. Total baking time in my oven was 25 minutes on covection.

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees. |

Melt Butter in Sauce Pan. When Melted Remove from Heat. Add Cocoa and Stir Well. Add Sugar, Eggs and Vanilla. Mix Until Shiny and Smooth. Add Flour, Baking Powder and Salt. Mix Well. Add Choc Chips or Walnuts If Desired. |

Pour Into an 8 Inch or 9 Inch Pan. Bake For 15-20 Miutes. Do not Over Bake. Look For Edges Slightly Pulling Away from Pan. Cool and Cut. Enjoy! |
