Directions
Old Fashioned Gingerbread Loaf,Fabulous New Zealand Loaf. A loaf tin for this is 25cm x 11cm.,Delicious..didn’t have ginger so used extra mixed spice, cinnamon and nutmeg..used treacle instead of syrup and wholemeal flour,this loaf turned out amazing!!! I hunted everywhere for a recipe that didnt have a ridiculous amount of golden syrup and butter and this was the result.I added 3 teaspoons of ginger instead of 2 but next time I will double it. Well done Jewelies this was great and I will definitely make again!

Line a Loaf Tin With Baking Paper. |

in a Medium Saucepan, Gently Melt the Butter and Golden Syrup Together. |

in a Mixer Cream Together Egg, and Sugar - Mix Well. |

Add the Melted Syrup Mixture. |

Sift and Mix in All Other Ingredients Except the Baking Soda and Milk. |

Mix the Baking Soda With the Milk Then Gradually Stir This Into the Mix. the Mixture Will Be Quite Runny. |
