Picnic Basket Bread, My aunt has been making this wonderful bread for years. You can make it ahead and serve it cold. It makes a great appetizer, and is wonderful left over. It also travels well, and is a hit at pot-lucks!, Yum! This was fantastic. Instructions were pretty good. I had a hard time spreading the dough out to the mentioned dimensions. WOW did the dough puff up a LOT! If you’re inexperienced making dough like I was, don’t be afraid to use that extra flour to help with the sticky-ness factor. Spread it out thin because like I mentioned it will puff quite a bit. The egg wash gave it a beautiful outer shell with the sesame seeds. My only change was to use ground turkey instead of chicken. Serve with pizza sauce., Amazing! When making it, I didn’t think it would have much flavor since the ingredients seem kind of bland, but I was pleasantly surprised. It both looked and tasted fantastic. I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn’t have swiss cheese so used an Italian mix.
