Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie, Southern Living; my father-in-law’s favorite., This made two pies. I cut the bourbon back to 1 tablespoon as I didn’t want an overwhelming bourbon flavor. I toasted the pecans. It is delicious!, I made this for the first time without using deep dish pans and it made 3 pies with a little extra filling. This is my go to Thanksgiving pecan pie recipe for several years. I’ve also subbed walnuts or chocolate chips for butterscotch or white chocolate, but those are very different beasts. Consider mixing all but the nuts and chocolate and dividing those between your pans first then pouring in liquid to fill. Toasting the nuts is also a good idea.
