Syrian or Lebanese Jallab Drink, A refreshing simple version of the rose flavoured drink that tastes slightly of sheesha (flavored tobacco) , Nice recipe But what about the color of the drink? And what about other major ingredients like grapes and carrob molasses in addition to the incense? There should be a reddish color and a mix of flavours in Jallab i guess when it is genuine Sorry for the above but i am very fond of searching the origins of the levantine recipes ( here i do strongly agree with you: Lebanon and Syria only ) By now these recipes have turned to their industrial preparations which are similar to the originals but not exactly the same Michel, We had this same drink at a new favorite Lebanese restaurant except they used club soda in place of water When I tested your recipe used water and it was just as delicious and refreshing We loved fishing for the pine nuts on the bottom of our glasses! 😉 Thanks for posting!
