    Cream Cheese Cut-Out Cookies,I love this recipe because it is so easy to roll out, and the taste is great. This is our favorite Christmas cookie recipe to make, but I also make them for Easter and Halloween. Sometimes I ice them or just sprinkle with colored sugar while they bake. I always double this recipe for us.,Why margarine instead of butter?,Not a fan of these at all. It feels (and tastes) like the cream cheese is a token ingredient rather than a featured taste. These had no tang AT ALL. I’ve made cream cheese cut outs before, but after moving couldn’t find my recipe. I tried this one…I rolled out one portion of the dough, popped it in the oven and chucked the rest after taste testing. There is another recipe here that uses 8 oz of cream cheese that turned out MUCH better in terms of cream cheesy payoff.

    Cream Margarine and Cream Cheese, Then Add the Sugar, Egg Yolk, and Vanilla, and Flour Last.

    I Like to Chill Dough Over Night or at Least Several Hours.

    Roll Out Chilled Dough and Cut in Desired Shapes With Your Favorite Cookie Cutters.

    Bake at 350 For 10 Minutes.
