Papa Dobles,Ernest Hemingway loved his libations strong. This drink, which contains a double shot of rum, was named for him, the father of the double shots, Papa Dobles. The drink, as with many Cuban cocktails, is strong, tart, and limey. From “The Florida Keys Cookbook” and posted for ZWT5.,A little too tart for my preference, but a tasty cocktail nonetheless. used fresh-squeezed key limes, and I think that overpowered the combo of juices a little too much. To balalnce the flavors a bit, I think I’d reduce the lime juice by half perhaps, and then increase the pineapple juice a bit. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us, FloridaNative.
