Chocolate Frosting No Eggs Or Milk

Features:
    Cuisine:

Delicious! I was topping peanut butter cookies with this. So I upped the cocoa to 1/3 c. and used 2 tbsp butter instead of the oil. Because of the review "too thin," I was sure to boil at least two minutes. But it thickened up quickly so I was not too worried about thinness. It had good body when drizzled thickly on the cookies, and did not even ooze off a side! Will definitely make this again!

I tried this recipe since we ran out of butter to make the frosting. It turned out really great! It’s not too sweet, nor too soft, nor tough when cooled down. Just the right consistency. I also figured that you might have forgotten to mention that the mixture needs to be continuously whisked while being heated as the bottom part might get overcooked if you leave it alone. But overall this is a delicious cost-saving recipe.
