Potato Soup Mix in a Jar, Here’s a very inexpensive recipe for “Gifts in a Jar.” This is also handy to have around the house for hungry kids who need a quick fix after sleding or skating!, I noticed all the reviews on here are from 2012 and before, but I just made this tonight. I did like others suggested and post it in a mini chopper instead of a food processor for a better consistency. I also added 1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/4 tsp of Basil, a dash of extra pepper, and 1/2 tsp-ish of celery salt. used Goya chicken bouillon and whole milk powder instead of low-fat. It’s cup of soup brand quality and I’m going to enjoy taking this to work to keep in my desk. It’s a keeper., To this recipe I added 4 cups total of Potato Buds, 3 cubes total of ‘Garden Veggie’ bouillon cubes , 2 tsp dried shallot powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, an extra tsp of black pepper and no seasoning salt. I put it in the food processor till smooth and then into an air tight jar. 1/4 cup of mix to 3/4 cups hot water was a good consistency for soup and use less water for mashed potatoes with a touch of butter.
