Kiddos Favorite Trail Mix,Easy, nutritious, keeps for a long time (in a sealed container), easily “tweaked” to fit your personal tastes. A REAL kid-pleaser. Great for bringing snack on your child’s turn at preschool/daycare. Although it may be wise to omit the ingredients containing peanuts (when considering a choice for nuts and regarding the peanut butter chips) as the allergy to peanuts is increasingly common and potentially life-threatening. Also great for a cooking activity with small children…wash their hands and let them throw handfulls of the ingredients together.,I made this for our children’s sermon at church, placing each premeasured ingredient in baggies for the children to add into a large bowl. We then mixed it all up and shared it with everyone. The only complaint I heard was that there wasn’t quite enough to go around! The only thing I changed was used raisins instead of cranberries and used 1/2 cup butterscotch chips and 1/2 cup salted caramel chips so that each child would have something to add.,Raisins for cranberries; 1/2 cup butterscotch and 1/2 cup salted caramel chips.
