Cleaning Your Washer

Features:
    Cuisine:

I didn't have odor issues with my washer, but I had a dingy ring around the top. I didn't think that was a good sign of what might be going on in other places.used less bleach and was able to remove the dingy ring after the vinegar rinse. I'm not sure if my washer will run any different, but it's nice to know it's been disinfected. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Cleaning Your Washer,Is your laundry looking dingy? Are you seeing spots before your eyes? To keep your washer spotlessly clean, it is important to remember to give it a once over every six months, or every three months if you have hard water. Is your Dish Washer dingy? See my recipe for Recipe #87538 ! From Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen or Clean, by Linda Cobb,I didn’t have odor issues with my washer, but I had a dingy ring around the top. I didn’t think that was a good sign of what might be going on in other places.used less bleach and was able to remove the dingy ring after the vinegar rinse. I’m not sure if my washer will run any different, but it’s nice to know it’s been disinfected. Thanks for sharing the recipe.,I trapped the water into the basin to see how much gunk would wash out and there was absolutely nothing there. Even the water looked clear as it drained from both cycles. However, I am still rating this as “good” because I think it is probably a good idea to run this type of cleaning every couple of months.(I own a Maytag that I have had for about 5 years now, and having never cleaned the machine before, I expected some really yucky looking water that just never happened.) I will continue to use this as a preventitive remedy for buildup. Thanks Bev.
