Directions
Black Bean Brownies (Gluten Free),These are flourless brownies made with pureed black beans! You won’t believe it! You can substitute spices for the vanilla. used about 1 tsp. Penzey’s Apple Pie Spice and it was terrific.,I added an extra 1-2 tbsps of cocoa powder, a hefty dash of cinnamon and a shot of espresso to these brownies. I did not have nuts or chocolate chips to add. To balance out the extra liquid of the espresso shot, I added a few tbsps of flour to the mix. The texture is great, just like a normal brownie. But the flavor, I hate to say it, was not. It needed much more chocolate to overpower the (albeit subtle) flavor of the black beans. So I made a quick chocolate frosting and put that on the brownies. Nice improvement!,I replaced the sugar with a cup of date puree and used coconut oil. I also added a tsp baking powder. Nice and fudgey. going to try this recipe again with sweet potato to see how it works out
