Hawaiian Baked Beans,Great for luaus, family gatherings, barbecues and other occasions where you have a few mouths to feed.,Could these be made in a slow cooker? If so what hi/low # of hours,These were awesome! I’ll be honest, I was afraid to try these because the whole crushed pineapple thing sounded weird, but you don’t really notice the pineapple at all – it just helps add a subtle sweetness. I just cut up a ham steak, and that worked out great. I drained the liquid from 2 of the 3 cans of beans – next time I’ll probably drain all 3 cans because they were a little runny, but thickened up as time went on. I also only used 1 cup of brown sugar based on other reviews, and I think they had a perfect level of sweetness.
