White Batter Bread,This simple recipe will give you 2 beautiful, delicious loaves of bread. Try it warm with butter and jam, WOW!! Prep time is the rising.,I chose this recipe because I was pressed for time and didn’t want to make a traditional recipe. However, now I wish I would have just made my regular recipe. This bread was difficult to mix. Also, it turned out quite elastic like regular bread dough. After reading other comments I expected it to be rather sticky. However, the opposite was true – elastic and not sticky at all. I don’t know how this could be called “batter”. It took just as long to rise as a regular recipe, so there was no time savings. The final product was also lumpy and misshapen.,If you’ve never made batter bread, be aware that this makes a batter, not a dough. It will be too sticky to handle with your hands. I’ve never made a batter bread that wasn’t. You can’t knead them. You can beat them longer if you’d like. They also tend to have a different texture, to be more crumbly. They are usually best eaten in couple of days.
