    I chose this recipe because I was pressed for time and didn't want to make a traditional recipe. However, now I wish I would have just made my regular recipe. This bread was difficult to mix. Also, it turned out quite elastic like regular bread dough. After reading other comments I expected it to be rather sticky. However, the opposite was true - elastic and not sticky at all. I don't know how this could be called "batter". It took just as long to rise as a regular recipe, so there was no time savings. The final product was also lumpy and misshapen.

The final product was also lumpy and misshapen., If you’ve never made batter bread, be aware that this makes a batter, not a dough. It will be too sticky to handle with your hands. I’ve never made a batter bread that wasn’t. You can’t knead them. You can beat them longer if you’d like. They also tend to have a different texture, to be more crumbly.They are usually best eaten in couple of days.

    Cover and Let Rise Until Doubled, About 45 Minutes.

    Stir the Batter Hard For 30 Seconds.

    Spread Into 2 8in Greased Loaf Pans Batter Will Be Sticky.

    Let Rise Until Doubled, About 20 Minutes.

    Bake at 325* For About 45 Minutes, Until Golden Brown and Done.
