Bavarian Crostini, This recipe is very interesting and it tastes so good! Try it you might like it , I changed this into grilled cheese sandwich(es) instead of crostini I cooked down the onion until it was fully caramelized, which took about 30 minutes I actually forgot about the garlic but didn’t miss it Once the onion was cooked, used it in a grilled cheese with the Jarlsberg After toasting, I added a squirt of spicy brown mustard to add to the Bavarian flavors This was delicious with some pasta salad on the side for an easy dinner Thanks for sharing!, Really really good! I made these for dinner tonight on DH homemade Italian bread with some potato wedges and salad on the side I changed it slightly by not baking the bread slices first and spreading a dijon/mayo mixture over them b4 topping with the onion and cheese I then placed them under the broiler to let the cheese melt I love the addion of the caraway seeds They were the perfect compliment to the cheese and onion This was a great, easy weeknight meal that we enjoyed Mike didn’t even mention the lack of meat 😉 These would also be perfect for entertaining (easy enough for that unexpected guest) I picture serving them b4 on a platter b4 going to the table for dinner, or for a cocktail party with a glass of white wine Thanks for posting this
