Barbecued Lil Smokies

Absolutely delicious! I'm having this now as part of my Christmas Eve festivities. Didn't have ingredients for my usual grape jelly/chili sauce recipe, so thought I'd try this one. Glad I did! All the ingredients are usually on-hand in my pantry (except didn't have any lemons, subbed vinegar). Sauce became more tasty the longer it cooked. I'd use this sauce on lots of different cuts of meat...bet it'd be good on ribs, or even hot dogs! MMmmmm....thanks so much for posting! :)

Barbecued Lil Smokies , Very good appetizer , Absolutely delicious! I’m having this now as part of my Christmas Eve festivities Didn’t have ingredients for my usual grape jelly/chili sauce recipe, so thought I’d try this one Glad I did! All the ingredients are usually on-hand in my pantry (except didn’t have any lemons, subbed vinegar) Sauce became more tasty the longer it cooked I’d use this sauce on lots of different cuts of meat bet it’d be good on ribs, or even hot dogs! MMmmmm thanks so much for posting! :), I made this for a Christmas Eve buffet, so I quadrupled the recipe Everyone seemed to love it I personally really liked the sauce I did not like the lil smokies (a texture thing) However, since I put them in the crockpot on high for several hours instead of simmering on the stove, that could have affected the texture Next time, I will follow the instructions then use the crockpot to keep them warm to see if that makes them better for me
