Crockpot Chicken Stew, Do you want stew and don’t have the time to let it cook the old-fashioned way? Well, try this recipe and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. As in all my recipes, adjust the seasonings according to your tastes. The time for prepping the vegetables is included. This will serve 3 slightly hungry adults. Submitted to ” ZAAR ” on April 29th. 2010., I added a cup and a half of Chicken broth. My family likes a lot of gravy. I also dredged the chicken in flour first. This thickens the broth., used boneless, skinless, chicken thighs instead of breasts, to bring in the dark meat flavor, fresh minced garlic, and used my own homemade cream of chicken soup, then finished it off with about a cup of heavy cream at the end to amp up the richness. My teenager couldn’t get enough and had 3 bowls and wiped the bottom of the pot with the biscuits.
