Ultimate Pizza Sauce,This pizza sauce recipe was given to me as a wedding present, written on the inside cover of a pizza cookbook. It is thick, saucy, spicy and delicious. I’ll never use anything else on my homemade pizzas. I like to double or triple it and put it in Ziploc bags in my freezer.,I love this sauce. Its chunky, though. I like my pizza sauce to be smooth. I made it tonight. I followed the recipe, except I pured it in the pan with a stick blender before I added the fennel seed. My family loved it that way. The flavor is great whether you pure it or not.,This sauce is very good. We didn’t have fennel seeds so I substitute with star anise.

In a Large Skillet, Melt Butter With the Oil. Add the Onion, Celery and Garlic and Saute Until Soft and Transparent. |
