Chinese Southern Fried Chicken, Sounds weird, huh? But I promise you, it tastes really good. This recipe was invented to give fried chicken a Chinese flavor. Prep time includes the time the chicken is having its Chinese bath before frying., There are those of us who know better than to mess with Mirj’s recipes..and then there are those of us who are FEARLESS…LOL. I made this up with chicken breasts and they were delicious, so I tried with salmon steaks and they were even more delicious. Thankyou Mirj for a keeper, easy to make, the ingredients are easy to come by and it tastes damn good., Mirj, when I stumbled onto this recipe I wondered… could it be similar to my beloved MarFar chicken? And it is! This was so tasty! And best of all, I don’t have to get the ingredients at a specialty store. Thank you so much for an easy, wonderful alternative! This one is going into regular rotation.

Combine the Marinade Ingredients With the Chicken and Set Aside For 1 Hour. |

Preheat the Oven to 350 Degrees F. |

Dredge the Pieces of Chicken in the Flour. |

Place a Rack in a Shallow Baking Pan and Put the Pan Near the Stove. |

Heat a Large Skillet and Add the Oil. |

When the Oil Is Hot, Fry the Pieces of Chicken on Both Sides Until Lightly Browned, About 4 or 5 Minutes. |

Arrange the Chicken on the Rack So They Don't Touch and Bake For 45 Minutes or Until Done. |
