Cane’s Special Sauce, The very sauce recipe used in Raising Cane’s I tested and made sure to include all of the ingredients I like this proportion as it is not too much or too little I calculated the proportion based on the exact use of the huge tubs made at the actual places , My boyfriend is a die-hard Raising Cane’s fanatic Though we both agree that Zaxby’s doesn’t compare to either, I personally prefer the original – Guthrie’s I wanted to find a close-enough recipe since we have neither Guthrie’s nor Raising Cane’s in Charlotte, NC and tried this recipe for the sauce It’s CLOSE, don’t get me wrong, but overall, we both agreed that it’s a little thicker and a little sweeter than the real McCoy I cut the sweetness a bit by adding additional pepper I also think that using Duke’s Mayo may not be the best for this recipe as it has a bit of additional sweetness by nature – I’m a little stumped for what to substitute, though A friend said that she remembered working at one of the restaurants and specifically remembered paprika being a key ingredient, and I am going to look for no-sugar-added ketchup to substitute for regular ketchup However, the sauce is STILL just too thick when compared to the real deal , This is as close to Cane’s as it gets A great sauce recipe! Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t taste like Cane’s right after you make it After being refrigerated it does
