Apple Cheddar Scones

Features:
    Cuisine:

These are super easy to make. used chunky applesauce and extra sharp Vermont cheddar cheese. They are so delicious. I also added a couple teaspoons of Herbs de Provence and it made them extra savory. Would go great in the winter with tomato soup. I gave them to the staff and teachers at my son's school with crock pot apple butter! Yummy and lots of compliments.

Apple Cheddar Scones, These are wonderful for brunch or add a scoop of ice cream and they make a great dessert This recipe came from Taste Of Home magazine , These were excellent and I will definitely make them again I didn’t have any buttermilk and so used plain, no fat yoghurt I will actually try them in the future using cranberries with some orange rind for a change!, I have made these scones many times, and they have always turned out perfect for me use a Granny-Smith apple and I shred my own cheddar cheese (when they pack the shredded, they put something with it to keep it from clumping) You have to have a very light hand with scone dough, don’t knead it much My picky DS loves these!
