8 cups milk (you will probably need more to thin)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cup sour cream
6 green onions, chopped
14 slices bacon, cooked till crisp and crumbled
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

    So this was a good base recipe! Made two changes...blend 1 potato along with some celery and carrot with 1/4 of the total milk you use to give it a nice creamy texture. Add some Tony Creole seasoning to give it a bit of zing.

    Baked Potato Soup, This tastes like a baked potato and sour cream It is so yummy on a cool night You’ll make it often once you have tried it It is good served with a Recipe #102070 , Super Easy! Super Tasty! The great thing about this recipe is that I saved the skins from the potato and used them the next with the remaining bacon, cheddar and sour cream for potatos skins Two meals in one! Excellent taste I did add a bit more salt and pepper , Thank you!!!! What an awesome recipe! And sooo easy!! used 4 slices of bacon, but other than that, exactly the same Even better the second day, if it lasts that long!!

    Heat Oven to 350f and Bake the Potatoes Until Fork Tender, About 1 Hour to 1 Hour 15 Minutes. (you Can Bake the Potatoes Beforehand).

    Melt Butter in a Medium Saucepan. Slowly Blend in Flour With a Wire Whisk Until Thoroughly Blended. Cook the Roux (flour in Butter) Until a Very Pale Golden. Gradually Add Milk to the Roux, Garlic and Season to Taste, Whisking Constantly.

    Cut Potatoes in Half, Scoop Out the Interior and Set Aside. Chop Up Half the Potato Peels and Discard the Remainder.

    When Milk Mixture Is Very Hot, Whisk in Potato. Add Green Onion and Potato Peels. Whisk Well, Add Sour Cream and Crumbled Bacon. Heat Thoroughly. Add Cheese a Little at a Time Until All Is Melted in .

    Note: You Can Set Aside a Bit of the Bacon, Green Onions and Cheese to Sprinkle on Top For a Nice Appearance.
