Our 15 year old son won a Blue Ribbon and Best in Show at our county fair last year with this recipe!, I add a cup of raisins For the icing, I mix 16 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup softened butter, 2 to 3 cups confectioner’s sugar, and a tsp of vanilla More cream cheese per bite!, Making this was an absolute waste of time Thankfully I was forewarned by another review that it’d look like cookie dough instead of cake batter, but because if this flaw, folding the pecans and apples in was all but impossible Still being hopeful, I did the best I could and spread/plopped it in the baking dish and cooked the cake for 45 minutes, then 15 more, 10 more, and yet another 10 more, but it still wouldn’t cook through I eventually gave up and threw it away as it didn’t smell appetizing and showed no signs of cooking to the correct doneness Beyond disappointed I bake and cook from scratch almost daily for my family so the outcome wasn’t an issue of me being a newbie cook
