Cinnamon Muffins

I swear I never make a recipe without reading the reviews first, but today was that day. These are bland and gross. I only cooked for 14 minutes, they would have been hard as rocks had I gone longer, so I will say that doing that made them moist. I even added cinnamon to the dough because I did read that these were bland but they tasted just terrible. Even dousing them in butter and sugar didn't help.

Cinnamon Muffins,Muffins are good anytime of the day.,I swear I never make a recipe without reading the reviews first, but today was that day. These are bland and gross. I only cooked for 14 minutes, they would have been hard as rocks had I gone longer, so I will say that doing that made them moist. I even added cinnamon to the dough because I did read that these were bland but they tasted just terrible. Even dousing them in butter and sugar didn’t help.,I would give these 3.5 stars because of having to alter the recipe. After reading many of the reviews, the tweaks I made was to add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1/4 cup buttermilk, since many comments said they were dry/bland. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla and 2 tsp of cinnamon to the batter. Lastly, I like big muffins, so used my deep muffin tin that only held 6 and baked them as instructed. With these tweaks, I would bake again!
