Classic Southern-Style Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe

    Ive never made lemon meringue pie before - this was my first attempt. For whatever reason the filling did not firm up enough. Not sure what I did wrong. I agree with some of the other reviews - it was too sweet. Ill be trying this again but probably with only 3/4 - 1 cup of sugar. Otherwise it was very good.

    Southern Lemon Meringue Pie,For the best pie, be sure to remove filling from the heat before you stir in the lemon juice and butter and spread the meringue while the filling is hot! Be sure to add 3 to 6 hours for cooling.,Ive never made lemon meringue pie before – this was my first attempt. For whatever reason the filling did not firm up enough. Not sure what I did wrong.
