Fish Piccata- Easy and Economical, Just saw this on Melissa’s Show: Ten Dollar Dinners with Melissa d’Arabian Episode: Melissa’s 4-Step Fish and it looks like a great meal for company! Put here for safekeeping., I tried the recipe using Panko instead of flour and found I liked the added crunch., This was a nice alternative to the usual Piccata I’ve had on occasions. Too bad Tilapia in my locale is all farm raised which I won’t eat. The store didn’t have sole so used salmon filets. Probably too strong a flavor for the Piccata. A white fish is probably best. I didn’t get a lot of sauce out of this recipe and would have liked more to balance out the strong fish flavor. I served with a buttery Australian Chardonnay which made this recipe really enjoyable.
