Oriental-Style Marinated Flank Steak

Features:
    Cuisine:

This is my first time making flank steak. I liked the flavor of the marinade. (Did not have all the ingredients so had to substitute a bit, no fresh ginger so used ground gigner instead, I think fresh ginger would be much better, no sherry wine vinegar, so used some regular red wine vinegar and added a bit more of sugar, no fresh lemons at home, so used some lemon juice extract instead). I would have bought the ingredients but decided to make the recipe on the spur of the moment...
The smell of the marinade was wonderful. Makes me think of korean bbq.
But my meat was not as tender as I would have wanted. I will definitely make it again, but maybe try with some better cut of meat. Also, I will try to make more of the marinade and reserve some to heat to make into a sauce.
Thanks for a nice marinade recipe!
