Addictive Tater Tot Casserole, This is my mom’s version; different from others posted, you do not have to brown the ground beef before adding to casserole., This was very helpful to me since I didn’t know exactly how long to cook and what temp to bake my mother’s version of this dish.. It’s very similar, with just a few differences. After the layer of ground beef, you add a layer of half a chopped onion. Then the next layer is a can of mixed veggies, then proceed with your choice of ‘cream of … soup’. Then finally your tater tots. This dish has always been a hit for friends and family and never lasts long in our house :, Great Recipe… Would like to make an extra for freezer… Should I bake it first then freeze??? or Freeze with the uncooked ground beef???
